Welcome to the online home of the

- Northern Ireland Rottweiler Club -

Founded in 1983

The Northern Ireland Rottweiler Club or NIRC was founded by dedicated breed enthusiasts in 1983 to act as a point of reference for all owners and interested parties to help foster a better appreciation of the breed in general. The Club was granted Championship status by the Kennel Club in 1987, thus making it one of the youngest clubs to ever achieve this honour.

Today our Club organises various events throughout the year including our 18 Class Breed Championship Show in September and our 16 Class Open Show.  The Club also hosts the competition for Northern Ireland Top Rottweiler & Northern Ireland Top Rottweiler Puppy which is held after the Open Show.

The Northern Ireland Rottweiler Club remains totally committed to promoting the excellent qualities of the Rottweiler. We endeavour to encourage responsible ownership, ethical breeding and to support both new and existing owners in any way we can. We aim to keep Rottweiler owners and interested parties up to date with current animal welfare legislation, news and health matters relevant to our breed.

Membership is open to all, whether your interest lies in showing, working or simply living with Rottweilers. Members also benefit from reduced entry fees at our club shows and the opportuntiy to take part in the Annual Top Rottweiler & Top Rottweiler Puppy Event held by the club every year.

We have included a page with some helpful pointers on purchasing a puppy from reputable breeders, with questions we recommend you ask and things to look out for.

We now have a Members Page available, where members can advertise their Kennel and Contact details for a small annual fee of £10. Includes up to 6 photos and a link to their website.
